Liberal Democrat Party Strategy Consultation - Thursday 16th July
Liberal Democrat Party Strategy Consultation - 16th July
The 2024 General Election was a historic moment for the Liberal Democrats. 72 MPs seats, the best result in the party’s history, the biggest parliamentary force in over a hundred years.
Locally, in 2024, we won the South West London seat on the London Assembly and since May I have had the privilege of being the first Liberal Democrat elected to Hounslow Council in 20 years.
However, the political landscape has changed. We are now in an era of five party politics and of extremes on the left and right.
The party has a constitutional responsibility to develop a strategy in each Parliament. That consultation requires debate at Autumn conference.
Quite rightly our focus recently has been on campaigning but we would like you, our members, to now have the opportunity to shape our national and local strategy. Please come along to our meeting at Hogarth Hall, Chiswick Town Hall, W4 4JN on Thursday 16th July from 7pm to 9pm. Tea, coffee and cake will be served. The event is free to attend.
