Candidates - Chiswick Gunnersbury Ward
Guy de Boursac
Guy is a retiree and has lived in Chiswick for 12 years. He ran a recycling paper and glass group in the mid-70s and is still keen on minimising carbon footprint. He believes that everybody has the weight to vote for those who best reflect their views and that the Liberal Democrats have the right attitude to holding this council to account for its actions.
Paul Haliwell
Paul moved to Grove Park with his wife and young family almost twenty years ago. Their twin daughters grew up here and were educated locally - this has very much been the family home. With the twins now graduated and making their own way in the world, Paul has more time to indulge his love of paddling on the river. A senior technology executive who has spent his career building and scaling new businesses, he is standing because he believes Gunnersbury deserves a strong local voice.
Nik Hole
Nik’s family has been in Chiswick for nearly four decades, and he moved back to Gunnersbury 19 years ago shortly after his first child was born. He now lives with his wife, three teenagers, a grown-up nephew, his stepmother in her eighties and two dogs, giving him first-hand experience of the wide range of local interests and community services in the area. Ten years ago he helped grow the 118-118 business from his bedroom to becoming CEO of five European companies, and now works as a consultant, regularly using the Tube, buses and walking to meetings, which keeps him aware of the importance of strong public transport links and thriving local businesses.
