Khalsa calls on Hounslow residents to save Heston Park9.34.59pm BST (GMT +0100) Sun 9th Apr 2006
London Borough of Hounslow published two Public Notices in the Hounslow Informer on 24 March setting out their intention to sell off part of Heston Park. Satnam Kaur Khalsa - Lib Dem candidate for Heston West ward - is outraged: "We in Heston are appalled that our open spaces are being targeted by the Council. Instead of providing more green space we are being robbed of our green parks and open spaces. I urge that all residents of Hounslow should send in their objections to the Council by 14 April 2006." Satnam added: "Local residents have already started a petition and it has my full backing."
