LIBERAL DEMOCRAT LEADER ENDORSES RIVERSIDE CANDIDATE

Paul Rustad is the best choice for Chiswick, says Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy.

Paul, the Liberal Democrat candidate in the Chiswick Riverside by-election, briefed the MP on the issues affecting Chiswick when they met during the leader's recent visit to nearby Twickenham.

They covered issues such as the reduction of service on the Tube and the threats to local resources including the Chiswick Lodge Hospital, the Child and Family Centre, and Chiswick New Pool.

Charles Kennedy said:

"Liberal Democrat successes in local government over the years have been the result of hardworking people who know their area well and are prepared to go the extra mile in serving it. I am delighted to say that Paul Rustad is very much of that mould.

"His grasp of the issues and his meticulous attention to detail are readily apparent to all those who work with him at Liberal Democrat headquarters, and I am certain they will be of benefit to the people of Chiswick when he is elected."

Paul said:

"Many Chiswick residents, alienated by William Hague's extremism, are looking to the Liberal Democrats to provide opposition to the Labour regime at Hounslow Civic Centre. It was therefore very useful to be able to brief Charles on their concerns."
