Crying 'foul' over Mogden - Wilson

12.00.00am GMT Wed 20th Nov 2002

We are all familiar with the problems of mosquitoes and smells from Mogden. Last year Thames Water blamed wet weather but when the smells continued through this drier summer Lib Dem MP Vincent Cable met with managers to find out what was happening. He also chaired a meeting between Thames Water and residents in August, and will meet managers while improvement works take place.

Mike Wilson said:

"Voters in this by-election should beware in case candidates try to take credit for the results of residents' own campaigning. But actions speak louder than any number of fancy words and Dr Cable's hard work is a matter of public record."
